Constipation is a recurring problem for most of us. It is characterised by increasingly hard stools that are difficult to pass. Drink enough water
Statistically, 1 in 4 people suffer from constipation, and even more so women. We have a few solutions for this. For the proper functioning of our body, doctors recommend drinking 2 to 3 litres of water per day. In practice, however, a good deal of this water comes from the food we eat. If you feel constipated, you should drink enough water, on average 6 to 8 glasses a day. The ideal time to do this is between meals. Because of their laxative effect, mineral waters rich in magnesium are highly recommended.
Flaxseed
Thanks to the mucilage, a substance contained in its seeds, flaxseed is very effective against constipation. Like magnesium, it has a super laxative effect. To consume them, simply mix them with mashed potatoes, milk or anything else that suits you. Several scientific studies recommend them for temporary constipation.
Eating fruit
Fruit is known to be good for your health and digestion. If you are constipated, eating more fruit will probably do you a lot of good. Raspberries, passion fruit, kiwi fruit etc. contain pectin, a fibre that is very effective for intestinal transit and facilitates digestion.
From simple belly bloating that prevents you from having easy and regular bowel movements, constipation can lead to much more serious problems if it is not treated. To avoid more serious medical problems, it is advisable to seek the right solutions as soon as the first symptoms appear. There are effective remedies at your fingertips that do not require excessive effort or expense.
